Sam Vanhoutte

Born in Belgium in 1978, Sam Vanhoutte has been working in the software industry since 2001. After starting their career as a software engineer, they quickly moved into integration engineering and then into consultancy. In 2004 they joined Codit as CTO, where they stayed for 17 years, helping the company become a leading provider of business integration solutions.

In 2021 they left Codit to join uman.ai as a board member. uman.ai is a startup that is developing artificial intelligence technology to help businesses automate their customer service.

Vanhoutte's educational career includes a postgraduaat in applied AI from the Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, a bachelor's in multimedia communcation technology from the same school, and an ASO from Spes Nostra in Kuurne. Sam is also certified by Microsoft in Azure IoT Developer Specialty, Data Analyst Associate, Designing and Developing Windows Azure, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, MCTS BizTalk Server 2004, Custom Applications, MCTS Biztalk Server 2006, Custom Applications, MCTS Windows Communication Foundation 4.0, and Microsoft Certified Application Developer.
