Craft: Software Engineering at Umbrage

Derrick White has had a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 with a role as a Guest Service Specialist at Chick-fil-A Restaurants. In 2014, they worked as a Social Media Intern at Operation HOPE, where they successfully rebranded 9 individual HOPE Inside location's social media presence on Facebook and Instagram. In 2015, White was a Creative Marketing Intern at The Coca-Cola Company, where they organized creative events and campaigns to promote the museum and represent the Coca Cola brand. From 2019 to present, White has held two roles: Craft: Software Engineering at Umbrage, where they design, develops, and distills software solutions for its enterprise clients, and Developer in Residence at DigitalCrafts, where they support lead instructors and acts as a teacher's assistant.

Derrick White attended The University of Georgia from 2013 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in Consumer Economics. Derrick then attended DigitalCrafts from 2018 to 2019, studying Web Page, Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design. Derrick also holds certifications from Daml and Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Daml Applications Engineer, Daml Associate, Daml Contract Developer, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, obtained in January 2022 and July 2021 respectively.
