Andrew Samworth

Andrew Samworth is an experienced maritime professional with a diverse background in vessel operations, leadership, and management. Currently serving as an Engineer/Mate at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science since May 2023, Andrew has also held prominent roles at Hornblower Cruises and Events since March 2008, primarily as a Relief Captain. Previous positions include serving as a Tug Captain at McLEAN CONTRACTING COMPANY and Norfolk Tug Company, along with a Fleet Captain role at Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region, where Andrew managed a fleet of historic vessels for educational purposes. Early career experiences include various captain and crew positions, demonstrating extensive expertise in operating a range of passenger and tug vessels across different waterways from Maine to Florida and beyond. Andrew's educational background includes studies at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
