Umaar Ehsan

Umaar Ehsan, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2013, they worked as a Technical Specialist for L4 Networks, a cybersecurity consultancy and managed security service provider. From 2014 to 2015, they served as an Office Administrator & Clinical Coordinator at Clinical Research & Consulting Center, LLC., where they monitored study activities and ensured compliance with protocols and regulations. In 2015, Umaar founded Yobbz, a minority-owned small business focused on developing mobile applications for labor centers. Umaar raised seed funding and oversaw the design, engineering, and marketing of the applications until 2019. During this time, they also served as the Chief Executive Officer. From 2017 to 2017, they interned at the American Public Health Association, assisting the publications department with editing content and designing graphics for the organization's newsletter. In 2019, Umaar joined First American Tech Consulting as a Senior Product Manager and worked there until 2021. In 2020, they also had a brief stint as a Student Intern at OFC. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Product Manager at Harvard Business Publishing in their Innovation Lab.

Prior to their Master's studies, they completed their Bachelor's of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. Umaar also holds an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in March 2021. With their diverse educational background and certifications, Umaar is well-equipped to contribute expertise in educational design and technology.
