Vice President of Integrative Learning Design

MJ Bishop is the Vice President of Integrative Learning Design at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), where they lead efforts to enhance learning environments through innovative academic strategies. With nearly 30 years of experience, they have held roles such as Associate Vice Chancellor and Director of the William E. Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation within the University System of Maryland, where they fostered a culture of academic innovation. Their previous positions include project management at Intelligent Applications Development and various faculty roles at Lehigh University, where they contributed to curriculum development and research in instructional design and technology. Bishop holds a Doctor of Education in Instructional Design from Lehigh University, as well as a Master's in English Literature from Millersville University and a Bachelor's in Political Science and English from Lebanon Valley College.
