Roberto Ruiz-Cordero

Roberto Ruiz-Cordero currently serves as an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Miami Health System since May 2022. Prior to this role, Roberto held the position of Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco from August 2018 to December 2021. Previous experience includes a Hematopathology Fellow, Molecular Genetics Pathology Fellow, and Cytopathology Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center between July 2015 and June 2018. Roberto completed an AP/CP Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital from July 2011 to June 2015 and earned an MD from the University of La Salle from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, Roberto worked as a Research Fellow at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición "Salvador Zubirán", where a clinical trial on hepatic cirrhosis was conducted, resulting in a published study (PMID: 24378268).
