Andrea Valenzuela

Andrea Valenzuela is a Chemical Biology PhD candidate at the University of Michigan, serving as the Henderson House Resident Director since August 2020. Valenzuela has interned at Pfizer, where contributions included the integration of single-cell RNASeq and CRISPR screening to identify disease-relevant genes and manage a computational pipeline for multi-omics data analysis. Additionally, Valenzuela completed an internship at GSK, focusing on designing and implementing workflows for the Protein Design Informatics pipeline. Previous experiences include research roles at Northeastern Illinois University and Harvard Medical School, as well as various positions in residence life and customer service. Valenzuela holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Northeastern Illinois University and an Associate of Science in Chemistry from City Colleges of Chicago-Richard J Daley College.
