Brian Ferguson

Electrical Systems Engineer

Brian Ferguson is an accomplished Electrical Systems Engineer currently supporting projects at the University of Michigan's Space Physics Research Laboratory and NASA since March 2022. With a strong foundation in electrical engineering, Ferguson previously contributed to the ATLAS project at the Large Hadron Collider and the IceCube project while working at Michigan State University. Early career roles include Electronics Design Engineer at SGI, Test Engineer at Jabil, and Systems Engineer II at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where involvement in the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) fortified expertise in systems analysis. Ferguson also gained valuable experience as an Embedded Software Engineer and Teaching Assistant, complemented by hands-on technical roles during academic pursuits and internships. Ferguson holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Space Engineering at the University of Michigan.
