Christine McKean

Christine McKean currently serves as the Director of Communications at the University of Michigan, a position held since July 2023. With extensive experience in marketing and communications, Christine's career includes significant roles at ProMedica from 2008 to June 2023, where responsibilities ranged from Senior Director of Marketing Communications to various director-level positions in communications and engagement. Prior to ProMedica, Christine worked as Manager of Corporate Communications at The Toledo Hospital and held the role of Marketing/Communications Coordinator at Mercy Health Partners and First InterHealth Network. Christine began a career in journalism as an Editor/Reporter at Herald Newspapers. Academically, Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Miami University and a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications with a focus on Public Relations from Kent State University.
