James Cutler

Assistant Professor

James Cutler is a co-founder of Astronautical Development, LLC, since January 2008, and serves as an assistant professor at the University of Michigan from 2008 to the present. Previously, James worked as a research analyst at Quakefinder, LLC, from August 2004 to June 2011, focusing on the development of a satellite to monitor low-frequency electromagnetic signals related to earthquake precursors. Additionally, James held the position of consulting professor at Stanford University from 2005 to 2008, where James was the director of the Space Systems Development Laboratory (SSDL). James earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2005, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1999, and a BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1996.
