James McClearen

James McClearen is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as CTO at blueflite and CEO at darkflite since 2019 and August 2022, respectively, James also holds a position as an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist at the University of Michigan since December 2021. As the Owner of Struktur Dynamik LLC since June 2012, James has showcased entrepreneurial skills alongside a solid engineering foundation, previously working as Chief Engineer at AVL and Badenoch LLC. With early career positions at Toyota Motor Corporation and Georgia Tech Research Institute, James possesses a comprehensive background in mechanical engineering, holding both a Master of Science (M.S.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
