Jon M. Wargo is an Associate Professor of Educational Studies at the University of Michigan's Marsal Family School of Education, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Wargo served as an Assistant Professor at Boston College's Lynch School of Education & Human Development from July 2017 to July 2023 and held the same title at Wayne State University from July 2016 to July 2017. Wargo's academic journey includes a doctoral degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education from Michigan State University, where a concentration in Literacy Studies and Qualitative Research Methods was pursued. Prior experience includes roles as a Corps Member Advisor Coordinator and Program Director with Teach for America, focusing on teacher leadership development and instructional efficacy, as well as teaching in Denver Public Schools from June 2008 to May 2011. Wargo completed a Bachelor of Arts in English and Gender Studies at Indiana University Bloomington from 2004 to 2008.
