Kate Balzer

Kate Balzer, LMSW, currently serves as a Change Manager at the University of Michigan, a position held since September 2023. Kate has extensive experience in project management and organizational support, having worked at Michigan Medicine in various roles within the Office of Patient Experience from 2016 to 2023. Previously, Kate managed human resources and development functions at Food Gatherers from 2010 to 2016, including overseeing benefit plans and recruitment processes. Kate's earlier experience includes a social work internship at the University of Michigan Center for the Education of Women and a public affairs internship with the Democratic National Convention Committee. Kate holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies, both from the University of Michigan.
