Mary Simoni

Mary Simoni has held several prominent academic and advisory positions at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since 2011, including Special Advisor to the Provost and Dean of the School of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences. With a long-standing affiliation with the University of Michigan since 1986, Simoni serves as Professor Emerita in Performing Arts Technology and has contributed significantly as Associate Dean and Department Chair. In addition, Simoni has been active in various professional organizations, including serving on the board of the Bob Moog Foundation and as a member of SEAMUS and the International Computer Music Association, where past leadership included the presidency. Educationally, Simoni earned a Ph.D. in Music Theory from Michigan State University.
