Nicole Tuttle is an experienced educator and researcher in the field of chemistry, currently serving as a Lecturer IV in the Department of Chemistry and the Comprehensive Studies Program at the University of Michigan since June 2016, while also holding the position of Assistant Director at the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching. Prior to this, Nicole worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toledo from October 2013 to July 2017 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago from September 2008 to November 2013, where collaborative efforts led to solving a significant problem in RNA biochemistry. Nicole's teaching experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant and Teaching Consultant, recognized for excellence in organic chemistry instruction. An early career as a Chemist I at Monsanto involved synthesizing novel catalysts, and Nicole began in education as a Science Teacher with Teach For America, where recognition as a model teacher was received. Nicole holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Michigan.
