Norris Chase

Norris Chase currently serves as the Director of First-Generation Commitment at the University of Michigan, focusing on the strategic direction of First-Generation initiatives within the College of Literature, Science and the Arts since April 2024. Prior to this role, Chase was the Dean of Students at Eureka College from February 2022 to April 2024. A wealth of experience includes positions at Bradley University as Executive Director and Assistant Director for Multicultural Student Services between June 2012 and January 2022, as well as the role of Graduate Hall Director at Clemson University from July 2010 to June 2012. Early career roles include Maintenance Assistant and Peer Mentor at Oakland University from April 2006 to June 2010. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Educational Administration Foundations from Illinois State University, an MBA from Bradley University, an M.Ed. in Counselor Education/Student Affairs from Clemson University, and a B.B.A. in General Management from Oakland University.
