Theo Hopper

Graduate Student Researcher

Theo Hopper is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Instruction at Bucknell University since July 2023, while also working as a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan since August 2019. Prior to these roles, Theo gained experience as a Substitute Teacher at Wahconah Regional High School and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where responsibilities included fabricating and characterizing microfluidic devices. Earlier experiences include working as a Research Assistant at Endicott College, where studies focused on GelMA hydrogels and cancer cell lines, as well as roles in education as a Peer Tutor and Writing Fellow. Theo's professional journey began with positions at Camp Taconic Stables, highlighting skills in instruction and program organization. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Michigan (expected 2024) and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Endicott College.
