Victoria Shaw serves as the Detroit-UM School Partnership Director at the University of Michigan School of Education since September 2005, where responsibilities include managing partnerships with Detroit Public Schools, leading professional development, curriculum redesign, and inquiry-based learning projects. Previously, Victoria was the Secondary English Education Lead, involved in teaching and supervising graduate and undergraduate students, as well as conducting collaborative research on culturally-responsive pedagogy and social justice in education. Earlier teaching positions included English and French instruction at Bishop McNamara High School and Holton-Arms School, as well as French teaching with the Mississippi Teacher Corps. Victoria holds a Ph.D. in English and Education from the University of Michigan, an MA in English from Georgetown University, and a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
