Dr. Katharina Grabrucker

Dr. Katharina Grabrucker has varied and extensive work experience. Dr. Katharina is currently working as the Strategy Director at Umicore since January 2022. Before that, they worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Principal from June 2012 to December 2021, where they focused on strategy, sales, and transformation projects in the Industrial Goods practice area. Dr. Katharina also worked as a Research Fellow and PhD Student at Universität Passau from April 2015 to July 2021. Dr. Katharina has previous experience as a part-time analyst in the Global Tax Transfer Pricing department at KPMG from September 2011 to February 2012, as an intern in the Financial Services Practice at Accenture from March 2011 to June 2011, as a part-time analyst in Corporate Development/Market Intelligence at PwC from May 2010 to September 2010, as an intern in Project Management European Relations at Das Forum junger Diplomaten from March 2009 to June 2009, and as an intern at Deutscher Bundestag in February 2008.

Dr. Katharina Grabrucker earned their B.A. in Governance and Public Policy - Staatswissenschaften from Universität Passau in 2009. Dr. Katharina then pursued their M.Sc. in International Economics and Economic Policy at Goethe University Frankfurt from 2009 to 2012. In 2010-2011, they had a semester abroad at Chulalongkorn University, specializing in International Economics and Finance. Dr. Grabrucker later earned their Dr. rer. pol. (PhD) in Development Economics from Universität Passau in 2021. Additionally, they had another semester abroad at the University of Warsaw in 2009, focusing on Development Economics and International Relations.
