Janne Niittykoski

Janne Niittykoski currently serves as the Head of Precursor Product Development and Head of Precursor R&D competence team at Umicore, a position held since December 2019, and also works as a Senior Scientist. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at Freeport Cobalt Oy from 2013 to December 2019, and as an R&D Engineer & Senior Technology Analyst at OMG Kokkola Chemicals Oy from 2008 to 2013. Janne's academic background includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Utrecht University from 2007 to 2008, and an Assistant and Graduate student role at the University of Turku from 1999 to 2007. Janne holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Inorganic Chemistry and a Master of Science (MS) in Chemistry, both from the University of Turku.
