Kris Driesen

Kris Driesen is a highly experienced professional in the field of materials development and research, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Umicore since October 2008, with expertise in battery materials, automotive catalysts, inorganic synthesis, and process feasibility studies. Driesen has held various positions within Umicore, including Senior Project Manager and Project Leader, focusing on lithium-ion battery materials, automotive catalysts, and recycling technologies. Prior to joining Umicore, Driesen was a Research Fellow at K.U. Leuven from October 1999 to September 2008, engaging in research related to inorganic chemistry, sol-gel chemistry, and electrochemistry. Driesen holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from KU Leuven and has a PhD that focused on lanthanide chemistry and materials synthesis.
