Tim MacHaris

Tim Macharis is an experienced professional in strategy and transformation, currently serving as Group Strategy Director at Umicore from January 2024 to March 2025, where responsibilities include designing and reviewing group strategy and leading projects in corporate strategy and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to this role, Tim held various strategic positions at Solvay, including Director of Strategy & Transformation for the Battery Materials Business Unit and Global Head of Customer, Commercial and Marketing Excellence. Tim's earlier career includes a role as Business Strategy, Development and Transformation Manager at Tessenderlo Group and management consulting at Möbius Business Redesign, where expertise spanned growth strategy, supply chain optimization, and change management. Tim began the career as a Project Engineer at Ney & Partners. Tim holds a Master of Science in Management from Vlerick Business School and a degree in Business Administration and Management from Solvay Business School (VUB).
