Tom Vandebosch

Tom Vandebosch serves as Senior Vice-President and General Counsel at Umicore since March 2014, overseeing legal and intellectual property matters on a global scale. Previously, Tom held various legal positions within Umicore, including Vice-President Legal and Legal Director, where responsibilities included leading global M&A and regional legal teams in Asia. Tom has also contributed to the legal community as Co-Chair of the Practice Group for International Lawyers at IBJ-IJE from January 2017 to October 2020 and gained extensive experience as an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from 2005 to 2014. Tom's academic credentials include a Licentiaat in de Rechten and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School, complemented by studies in philosophy at KU Leuven.
