Britney Burkart, MSW, LCSW, currently serves as the Senior Research Assistant and Project Coordinator for Health and Aging at the UMKC Institute for Human Development, and is also a Medical Chronologist for Schweickert Ganassin Krzak Rundio, LLP. Britney has been involved with the Association on Aging with Developmental Disabilities as a Conference Planning Committee Member since September 2021 and has been an Auction Assistant at Burkart Auction Service, LLC since 2010. Previous positions include Palliative Care Case Manager at Aspire Health, Inc., Medical Social Worker at Crossroads Hospice, and Family Support Coordinator/Geriatric Social Worker at Dolan Memory Care Homes. Britney holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Social Work-Clinical Gerontology from Saint Louis University, along with a Gerontology Certificate. Other educational achievements include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Health-Rehabilitation and Disabilities Studies and an Associate of Arts and Sciences. Contributions to the field include serving on the board of The Social Work Leaders in Health Care of Metro Saint Louis and chairing initiatives such as the Social Worker of the Year Award.
