Samantha Hampton

Samantha Hampton serves as Data Science Manager at Umuzi.org since September 2020 and holds the position of Head of Business Development and Sustainability at Sunchem South Africa since October 2012. With an academic background in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Engineering in Renewable and Sustainable Energy from Stellenbosch University, Samantha has contributed significantly to the energy sector. Previous roles include Project Manager for Sunchem Holding's "Solaris" trial phases in Limpopo, where responsibilities encompassed managing cultivation and processing challenges. In addition, Samantha has experience as a Commercial Engineer at Blue World Carbon Asset Management, focusing on project design documents and stakeholder relations in renewable energy projects, and served as a Research, Design, and Development Engineer at Ti-TaMED.
