Climate Finance Expert at UN Climate Change

Julius A. serves as a Senior Associate in the Financing Sustainable Development: Learning and Capability Building Division at Transformativefin Hub, where responsibilities include supporting policy analysis and stakeholder needs assessments to develop capacity-building initiatives and strategic partnerships. As a Climate Finance Expert at the UNFCCC/EADB Regional Collaboration Centre, Julius achieved significant milestones, including conducting a climate finance needs assessment for the East African Community and facilitating a $260,000 funding award from the NDC Partnership Action Fund. Previous experience includes the role of Business Development Manager for the Amaani Rwenzori project at Welthungerhilfe, where business forecasts and new product costing methods were implemented, as well as a Senior Associate at Backhouse, conducting economic and financial appraisals for development projects across multiple African countries. Julius A. holds qualifications from various prestigious institutions, including certifications in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance and Debt Capital Markets, and is currently pursuing a Diploma in GHG Accounting.
