Dr Marijana Kapovic Solomun Ph.D., Associate Professor

Dr. Marijana Kapovic Solomun, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Forestry, where Dr Marijana holds multiple academic positions including Dean and Chair of the Department of Forest Ecology. With extensive experience in environmental assessment and policy, Dr. Kapovic Solomun serves as a scoping expert for the second IPBES global assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services, and is involved with the European Environmental Agency and the European Commission in various expert roles. As President of the Council of Forestry of the Republic of Srpska and a member of several governmental and international committees, Dr. Kapovic Solomun contributes significantly to forestry and environmental policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dr Marijana holds a PhD in Forestry focused on Soil Science from the University of Belgrade, along with additional qualifications in land use planning and management.
