John Ofstedal

John Ofstedal is currently a Communications Intern at the UN Environment Programme since July 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Managing Editor for Special Sections at Emerald Media Group from September 2023 to July 2024, and as a Production Equipment Specialist at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication from February 2022 to July 2024, where John maintained and lent professional-grade production equipment. John has also worked as a Videographer and Video Editor for the Journalistic Learning Initiative, producing research-based journalism content, and as a Technical Assistant at the New York Film Academy, where John supported student projects. Additionally, John produced videos for the UO Office of Sustainability for an annual ceremony. John is pursuing a degree in Journalism, French, and Legal Studies at the University of Oregon, expected to graduate in June 2024.
