Mouna Zein

Mouna Zein is an experienced professional with a strong background in the United Nations system, currently serving as Deputy Head of Office at the UN Environment Programme since April 2015, following roles as Program Analyst and Finance and Administrative Analyst. Prior experience includes serving as an Administrative and Finance Associate at UNAIDS from November 2009 to March 2015, and as Programme Associate for UNDP Sudan. Earlier positions include roles at UNDP as a Programme Assistant and at Practical Action as a Knowledge and Information Sharing Officer. Mouna Zein holds a Master Degree in Development Studies with a focus on Environmental Planning and Policies (Distinction) and an MBA in Project Management from the University of Medical Science and Technology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Applied Earth Science - Geology from Alneleen University. Additionally, Mouna Zein is pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Medical Sciences & Technology.
