Laure Garel

Laure Garel is an accomplished urban planner with extensive experience in both academic and professional settings. Currently serving as an Urban Planner at UN-Habitat since March 2021, Laure has previously held key positions such as Coordinadora Posgrado en Urbanismo Metropolitano at Facultad de Arquitectura, Universidad de Buenos Aires, and Urban Planner and Sustainability Expert at Urbanteo. Additionally, Laure has a strong background in urban planning through various roles at UN-Habitat and Buenos Aires City Government, including a coordinator position at the Unified Coordination of Strategic Planning. With a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Université Laval and a Bachelor's Degree from Université Bordeaux Montaigne, Laure has demonstrated a commitment to advancing urban development and sustainability through both professional practice and academic contributions.
