Dr Sandeep Sandhu

Dr Sandeep Sandhu, FRSB, currently serves as the Executive Director for Global Investment and Insights at Innovate UK Business Connect and holds several additional leadership roles, including Head of Stakeholder Relationships and Chair of the Race & Ethnicity Network. As a delegate for UN Women UK, Dr Sandhu advocates for gender equality by focusing on poverty alleviation and institutional strengthening. Involvement with the Royal Society of Biology as a member of the Education and Science Policy Committee includes influencing national policy and supporting bioscience education. Dr Sandhu was selected for the Future Leaders Program by the Foundation for Science and Technology and has extensive previous experience in international policy management and research, including positions at UK Research and Innovation, the Medical Research Council, and the University of Birmingham. Dr Sandhu earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from Aston University, along with fellowship status from the Royal Society of Biology.
