Gvantsa Asatiani is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications at UN Women since April 2010, where responsibilities include developing and implementing advocacy and communication strategies to promote women's rights and UN Women’s mission. Previously, Gvantsa held the position of Communications Specialist at UNFPA from July 2006 to July 2010, focusing on PR and communications campaigns for EU-funded projects in the South Caucasus, and worked as a PR and Communications Specialist at Save the Children from August 2004 to August 2006. Gvantsa co-founded the United Nations Association of Georgia and served as a Board Member from January 2000 to January 2004, providing advice on communications and media relations. Gvantsa holds a Master’s degree in PR and Communications from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and a BA in International Law and Diplomacy from the American University for Humanities, along with additional education from UWC Adriatic.
