Rodrigo Herrera has extensive experience in communications and advocacy, currently serving as the Regional Communications and Advocacy Specialist at UN Women since September 2015. In this role, Rodrigo leads the regional team for the Americas and the Caribbean, focusing on initiatives that promote women's rights and strategic partnerships. Previous positions at UN Women include Digital Communications Specialist, Interim Communications & Advocacy Officer, Social Media Officer, and HeForRodrigo campaign consultant. Additionally, Rodrigo co-founded The New Gay Times, promoting human stories and social change, and founded Underdog, which focuses on sustainable societal development. Experience also includes roles at TrendWatching, Ache Entretenimiento, Discovery Communications, and Time Out México. Rodrigo holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights from IBERO Puebla and dual Licenciatura degrees in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana and IBERO Puebla.
