Vivek Rai

Vivek Rai is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and communication within international organizations. Currently serving as Deputy Director at UN Women since December 2014, Vivek specializes in civil society initiatives at UN Women Headquarters. Previous roles include Special Assistant at UN Women from September 2009 to November 2013 and as a Freelancer Writer/Editor for various non-profits in New York between June 2004 and 2009. Additionally, Vivek worked as a Producer/Writer for CNBC India from August 2004 to January 2006, focusing on stories relevant to South Asian audiences. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Media Studies from The New School and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.
