Senior Adviser, Equality And Rights For All at UNAIDS

Christoforos Mallouris is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public health and international program management, currently serving as a Senior Adviser for Equality and Rights for All at UNAIDS since October 2013. Previous roles include Community Mobilization Adviser at the same organization and Senior Consultant for Social Justice 4 All, where Christoforos consulted for prominent entities such as the World Health Organization and Elton John AIDS Foundation. As Director of Programmes at the Global Network of People Living with HIV from April 2008 to September 2011, oversight of HIV-related initiatives was key. Christoforos also has a background in educational program specialization at UNESCO and experience as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MSc in Astrophysics from the University of Chicago, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a BA in Physics, Pre-Med from Macalester College.
