Umunyana Rugege is an experienced legal professional specializing in human rights, currently serving as the Head of Human Rights at UNAIDS since March 2023. Prior to this role, Umunyana held various positions at SECTION27 from April 2010 to March 2023, including Attorney, Deputy Director, and Executive Director of SECTION27, incorporating the AIDS Law Project.
