Shanthi Sankar

Shanthi Sankar has over 25 years of work experience. Shanthi is currently the Director of Engineering at Unanet since April 2023. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Manager at Twitter from August 2019 to January 2023, where they led the Ads Serving team and focused on the ads core platform. Before Twitter, they worked at IBM for several years, starting as a Software Engineer at Emptoris, an IBM Company in 2000. Shanthi then became a Technical Lead - Emptoris Suite in 2009, followed by an Engineering Manager in the Watson Customer Engagement - Marketing division from 2016 to 2019. At IBM, they were responsible for leading various projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and defining technical designs for different components. Shanthi started their career as a Software Engineer at Ramco Systems in 1994 and later worked at Physician Weblink as a Software Engineer from 1997 to 2000, where they contributed to the development of a healthcare management system.

Shanthi Sankar has a postgraduate degree in Advanced Systems Management from the National Institute of Information Technology. Shanthi also holds a bachelor's degree in Corporate from the University of Madras. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Management Essentials from Harvard Business School, Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM, IBM Certified Manager, Leading and Managing Globally from Yale School of Management, and Managing Uncertainty Virtually from ExecOnline, Inc.
