Trista Whitehead

Trista Whitehead has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience (UX) design. Trista is currently working at Unanet as the Director of User Experience, starting in November 2021. Prior to this role, they held positions at Unanet as the Principal User Experience Designer from April 2021 to November 2021, and as the Senior User Experience Designer from August 2020 to April 2021. During their time at Unanet, they were responsible for laying out the UX strategy for their first mobile app, conducting user research, and driving collaborative design iterations. The mobile app received high ratings and positive reviews on both the App Store and Play Store. Before joining Unanet, Trista worked at PenLink, where they held various UX design roles. Trista served as the UX Team Lead from October 2018 to August 2020, where they took on leadership responsibilities and managed DesignOps and ResearchOps. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior UX Designer from June 2017 to October 2018, and as a UX Designer from January 2014 to June 2017. During their time at PenLink, they played a key role in building consistency in products, mentoring junior designers, and conducting research and design activities.

Trista Whitehead holds a Bachelor's Degree in Web Technologies from Bellevue University, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Web Design from Western Iowa Tech Community College, from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Trista has obtained certifications in various fields including Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Agility 11, as well as certifications in User Research - Methods and Best Practices and UX Management: Strategy and Tactics from the Interaction Design Foundation.
