M.D. Moinuddin Sheam

Md. Moinuddin Sheam is currently a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where responsibilities include teaching undergraduate microbiology labs. Previous experience includes serving as a Master Thesis Student at VLIZ - Flanders Marine Institute, focusing on the metagenomic diversity of double-stranded DNA bacteriophages in the North Sea, along with internships at the University of Gothenburg and Università Politecnica delle Marche, where projects involved analyzing genotoxic damage in Mediterranean mussels and investigating the ecotoxicological impacts of pharmaceuticals. Md. Moinuddin Sheam also worked as a Research Assistant at the Islamic University and holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Marine Viral Ecology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Science in Marine Biology from IMBRSea.
