Jamie Jarmul

Jamie Jarmul, MD, PhD, is currently the Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics at UNC Health Alliance, a position held since July 2020, focusing on advanced analytics and healthcare evaluation. Jarmul earned an MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in May 2019, and a PhD in Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Decision Sciences and Outcomes Research from the same institution in January 2017. The doctoral dissertation addressed the clinical utility and cost-effectiveness of cardiovascular genetic risk testing for targeting statin therapy in the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Prior experience includes a Post-baccalaureate IRTA Fellowship at the NHLBI Cardiovascular Intervention Program, where work involved novel interventional cardiology devices, and research fellowship positions at the Pratt School of Engineering, where contributions were made to cardiac dynamics and biomedical engineering projects. Jarmul holds a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
