Robert Shuford

Robert Shuford has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and solutions architecture. Robert is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Unchained Capital since January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at the same company from April 2022 to January 2023.

Before joining Unchained Capital, Robert worked at Systematic U.S. for over a decade. Their roles at Systematic included Solutions Architect and Mobile Products Lead Architect from October 2018 to October 2021, where they provided technical insights, product integration expertise, and software development training. Robert also served as a Senior Software Engineer and Project Tech Lead from November 2014 to October 2018, leading an engineering team in designing and implementing custom software solutions for the US Army. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer from December 2009 to October 2014, contributing to the design and development of software using Java, C#, and AngularJS.

Prior to Systematic, Robert worked at Parature as a Technical Consultant from June 2008 to December 2009. In this role, they developed integrated solutions and automated data synchronization using C# and expanded legacy codebases to enhance functionality. Robert also managed client training and deployment for Parature's software.

Robert's career began at JMT Systems, where they served as a Systems Technician Intern from April 2007 to May 2008. Robert developed custom solutions using Visual Basic .NET and SQL databases, provided IT tech support, and maintained security privileges.

Robert Shuford attended Columbia Basin College from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained an Associate in Arts & Sciences degree. Robert then went on to Central Washington University from 2005 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, Robert obtained the following: MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft in October 2015, MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 from Microsoft in October 2015, and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in December 2011. Robert also completed several courses through Code School, including "Accelerating Through Angular 2", "Shaping up with Angular.js", and "Staying Sharp with Angular.js".
