Jhy Turley

Jhy Turley has a diverse work experience in the fields of design, photography, and creative management. They currently hold the position of Chief of Design Operations at Uncommon Creative Studio since July 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Studio at the same company from April 2019 to July 2023.

Before joining Uncommon Creative Studio, Jhy worked at Wieden + Kennedy as a Studio Designer & Senior Creative Artworker from May 2016 to April 2019. They also have experience as a Photographer and have been passionate about capturing people's stories through pictures. Jhy Turley Photography, their personal photography venture, allowed them to explore different genres and experiment with various subjects.

As a volunteer for the Royal Photographic Society, Jhy served as an Editor for the quarterly digital magazine Decisive Moment. They were a part of the committee for the Special Interest Group, Documentary, from January 2016 to September 2018.

In the earlier years of their career, Jhy worked as a Studio Manager at VCCP from February 2010 to November 2015. They also owned JT Creative Services, where they provided freelance design and creative artwork services from October 2007 to February 2010.

Their career in design started at Maverick Advertising and Design, where they worked as a Designer and Studio Manager from June 2001 to October 2007. In this role, they handled various design projects and collaborated with external partners such as digital design agencies, photographers, and production companies.

Jhy Turley attended the University of Greenwich from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued a degree in Graphic Design and obtained their HND.
