Emma Morris is an accomplished geologist with a strong background in sedimentary geology and extensive research experience. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Sedimentary Geology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Emma has previously held positions as an Assistant Professor at Lamar University, focusing on coal deposits as sources of Rare Earth Elements and Critical Minerals, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Utah, where research centered on shallow marine depositional systems. Additional experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at University College Dublin, geological consultancy with Badley Ashton, and roles as a postgraduate researcher and demonstrator at the University of Liverpool. Emma holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Liverpool and a BSc (Hons) in Geoscience from the University of St Andrews.
