Ricky Patterson

Ricky Patterson serves as a Career Development Counselor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since February 2020, where responsibilities include conducting individual career coaching, leading over 40 tailored presentations annually, and revitalizing the Nursing Career and Networking Fair into a more inclusive Healthcare Career Fair with significant increases in attendance. Prior experience includes roles as a Career Counselor at Georgia State University, where Ricky conducted numerous counseling sessions and collaborated with various departments, and as a Career Advising Fellow at Elon University, focusing on student professional development and event planning. Additional experience spans graduate assistant roles at Appalachian State University and an internship in the athletic department at the University of Colorado. Ricky holds a Master's Degree in College Student Development with a concentration in Student Affairs from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the College of Charleston.
