Arif Faisal

Arif Faisal is a seasoned professional in environmental sustainability and climate change, currently serving as a Programme Specialist for Environmental Sustainability & Energy at UNDP since June 2016. Arif has a robust background spanning over a decade, including significant roles at the Asian Development Bank, where responsibilities encompassed climate proofing projects, advising on climate adaptation strategies, and managing environmental components across various sectors in Bangladesh. Previous roles include serving as a Climate Risk Assessment and Adaptation Specialist and Environment Specialist. Arif's early experience includes impactful positions at IUCN and UNDP, where initiatives focused on climate change adaptation and natural resource management. Arif holds a Master of Science in Climate Change from the University of East Anglia, complemented by advanced degrees in Forestry from the University of Chittagong.
