Mateo Salomon

Mateo Salomon serves as the Principal Technical Advisor for Climate Change Mitigation Policy and Programming at UNDP since September 2019, overseeing global initiatives in climate change mitigation and coordinating the Climate Change Mitigation Team. Previously, Mateo worked as a Global Energy & Finance Advisor, providing strategic guidance on clean energy financing for developing nations. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Executive for Environment and Climate Change at CAF, where support was provided to access blended climate finance, and a Trust Fund Appointee at the Inter-American Development Bank, focusing on climate finance program development. Earlier positions at UNDP included Regional Technical Analyst and Programme Officer, concentrating on climate change issues in Latin America. Education includes a Master's in International Relations with a focus on interdisciplinary environmental studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
