Omar Atef Marzouk

Omar Atef Marzouk is an experienced professional in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors, currently serving as an Associate Professional in Technology and Infrastructure at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since July 2023. Previously, Omar worked as a Junior Sustainability and Digital Consultant at Accenture in the Netherlands from July 2022 to June 2023, and held an internship at IRENA focusing on renewable energy markets and technology from July 2021 to April 2022. Additional experience includes roles as an Energy and Sustainable Development Intern at Schneider Electric, Consulting Intern at N Gage Consulting, and Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Procter & Gamble, where Omar developed dashboards and automated warehouse systems. Early career experiences include a Sales Internship at Ghabbour Auto and an Energy Internship at the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE). Omar holds a Master of Science in Environmental and Energy Management from the University of Twente and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with a minor in Economics from The American University in Cairo.
