Ramla Khalidi

Resident Representative

Ramla Khalidi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international development and diplomacy. Since September 2019, Ramla Khalidi has served as the Resident Representative at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Prior to this role, Ramla Khalidi held various key positions at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) from February 2007 to August 2019, including Chief of the Strategy, Evaluation and Partnership Section and Chief of the Technical Cooperation Section. Earlier in the career, Ramla Khalidi worked as a Social Affairs Officer and in several roles at UNDP, including Deputy Chief and Poverty Analyst. Ramla Khalidi's educational background includes a Master's degree in Arab Studies focusing on Economic Development from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and History from Tufts University.
