Alessandra Roccasalvo

Alessandra Roccasalvo currently serves as the Resident Representative for UNDP since October 2023. Previously, Alessandra held the position of Head of Management for the Spotlight Initiative at the United Nations from February 2020 to October 2023, focusing on eliminating violence against women and girls globally. Alessandra's extensive experience with UNDP spans from February 2005 to January 2020, where roles included Surge Adviser for UNDP Sudan and Resident Representative a.i. for UNDP Kosovo, contributing to change management, representation, advocacy, and programme oversight. Additional roles include Change Management Specialist in the Bureau of Management and Programme Officer in UNDP Indonesia. Early career experience includes working as a Research Analyst at McKinsey and Company and as a Stage at the International Trade Centre. Alessandra holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Development Studies from The London School of Economics and Political Science and an educational background from the University of St Andrews.
