Sugandhi Samarasinghe

Sugandhi Samarasinghe is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project coordination and management within the environmental sector. Currently serving as the National Project Coordinator for Climate Action at UNDP since January 2015, Sugandhi has been instrumental in implementing significant projects such as the Enhancing Biodiversity Conservation initiative and Climate Promise. Other roles include a Visiting Lecturer at the Open University of Sri Lanka, Programme Quality & Funding Officer at Oxfam, and Programme Coordinator at the Ministry of City Planning and Water Supply. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Environmental Management from the University of Colombo and a Master's degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Peradeniya, among others. Sugandhi is also enhancing expertise in climate finance through an Australian Awards Short Course at Griffith University.
